VIDEO: Jewels and Gems
Are you under pressure of the mental or otherwise intangible sort? Is it from others, from yourself, or both? Pressure is related to a lot of things, but most especially time. Due dates, expiration dates, completion dates…to meet these we trade some youth, right? Forget the questions, those don’t really matter one way or another. Giving our all in the moment usually ends better than when we pay attention to time or money.
The love and hours it takes to make each 3+min song should be the scope of an artist. The rest works itself out. That’s what I believe today, with the side knowledge that I may wake up some years from now believing something to the contrary.
I make records under no pressure. I care about the outcome, but it’s care instead of worry. We’re all under some big pressures in other aspects of life and I made music my escape, so how can I face the same fate here? Never, I hope. Most may never hear of Jewel or other artists similar, but peep this:
